Our Services
Social media is your way into the conversations that
are happening right now.
Coherent Interactive offers start-to-finish social media services. We believe that social media is just one tool, and like all tools, it must be used properly to effectively solve the right problem. We approach social media by:
- Defining clear goals that support your business strategy based on specific tools and opportunities.
- Evaluating what communities make up your ecosystem, either directly through your participation, or indirectly as places where your clients congregate.
- Building a strategy that is practical and maintainable. The strategy defines success criteria for each goal, an implementation plan, metrics, and how we’ll measure them.
- Supporting the implementation of your social media strategy in whatever way best serves your needs and constraints. This may involve training your staff, providing full-service editorial or technical services, providing custom tools, or simply ensuring you are ready to execute the strategy on your own.
What we Offer
Goals A good social media strategy starts with clear goals. Social media is just one part of your larger business strategy. If you haven’t defined your social media goals, we can help you do so. Maybe you don’t even know how social media can help your business. Did you know you can use social network to provide customer support, get users to generate content for you, alert customers, and more? If you’re totally new to social media, we’ll introduce you, and then help you set some useful and achievable goals.
Outcome: Social Media goal definition, in the context of your larger business goals.
Evaluation Even if you haven’t created a Facebook fan page or opened a Twitter account, you may have social media elements you aren’t even aware of. Are your customers or potential customers congregating in other forums or communities, and talking about your business? If you do have a blog and a basic presence, we’ll want to assess your communities and their effectiveness, given your goals. We’ll also look at the broader community ecosystem in which your company operates: considering distributors, suppliers, sales people, and other third-parties that are relevant. This is one of the areas where our background in contextual inquiry allows us to do a comprehensive analysis.
Outcome: Community Engagement report with Community Engagement Maps that show your social media ecosystem.
Strategy Once you have your goals defined and you know what your ecosystem looks like today, we can develop an effective strategy. We’ll evaluate the possible channels (such as Facebook or Twitter) you can use to determine which will be most effective your business and goals. Then, we’ll create Community Engagement Maps that define how your social media ecosystem will look when we meet your goals. Applying our knowledge of the various communities, our understanding of user experience, marketing, and workflow, we’ll develop a strategy for reaching those goals—one that is doable given your business constraints. We’re all about a practical approach, so we’ll define a phased implementation plan with clear measures for each phase.
Outcome: Social Media Strategy report with a phased implementation plan and measurement plan.
Implementation When it’s time to implement your plan, we’ll play the role that best fits your needs, from implementing the strategy for you to providing guidance as you implement it. Our range of services allows us to create your Facebook fan page, build your mobile app or website, and set up your blog. Our ultimate goal, though, is to help you become self-sufficient and able to conduct your social media efforts internally. We’ll keep that in mind as we discuss with your our level of involvement.
Outcome: Social Media Strategy implemented.
Training Because our goal is to make you the owner of your social media program, the strategy and implementation plan we develop will likely include training. As part of your plan, we may bring in social media management or measurement tools, and we’ll want to train the appropriate users in their use. You may also want training in some of the basic skills and etiquettes for different communities, or how to use the blog platform. We’ll create a training plan with you, and deliver the training at the appropriate stage in the process.
Outcome: Social media contributors and key stakeholders in your organization are trained and ready to own the social media process.
